TABS

Chrome-style tab management with tear-off, drag, and live previews.

Chrome-Style Tabs

Tabs in ori-term work the way you expect from a browser. Tear a tab off into its own window by dragging it out, drag it back in to rejoin, and reorder tabs with smooth animation. Every operation feels instant.

Tab Hover Preview

Hover over any tab to see a scaled-down live thumbnail of its terminal content. Previews are rendered via offscreen targets so they stay up to date without impacting performance.

Tab Width Lock

When closing tabs in rapid succession, the tab bar locks widths so close buttons stay aligned under your cursor. No more chasing a shifting close button across the bar.

Bell Animation

Inactive tabs that receive a terminal bell signal show a pulsing background animation, drawing your attention without switching focus.

Context Menus

Right-click a tab for a GPU-rendered context menu with drop shadows, hover highlighting, and separators. Actions include close, duplicate, move to new window, and more.

Settings UI

Access the settings panel to select color schemes with visual checkmark indicators. The settings UI is rendered inline using the same GPU pipeline as the rest of the chrome.

Window Controls

Minimize, maximize, and close buttons are rendered per platform -- rectangular on Windows, circular on macOS. Controls are integrated into the tab bar for a clean, frameless look.

Frameless Drag

The tab bar doubles as the title bar. Drag to move the window, double-click to maximize, and drag to screen edges for Aero Snap support on Windows.
