WINDOW CHROME
Frameless window, custom controls, window snapping, transparency, HiDPI support.
Frameless Window
ori-term draws its own window chrome -- no native title bar. The tab bar is integrated directly into the title bar area with custom minimize, maximize, and close buttons styled per platform (rectangular on Windows, circular on macOS).
Window Management
- Drag to move -- Drag the title bar area to reposition the window. Double-click to maximize.
- Window snapping -- Snap to left, right, or maximize by dragging to screen edges (Windows and Linux)
- Configurable size -- Set initial window dimensions and fullscreen state in your config
- Padding -- Configurable padding around terminal content
Transparency
ori-term supports native window transparency effects on every platform:
- Windows -- Mica and Acrylic transparency
- macOS -- Native vibrancy effects
- Linux -- Compositor transparency (Wayland and X11)
HiDPI
Proper per-monitor DPI awareness. Fonts, UI elements, and all chrome scale correctly for your display. Moving a window between monitors with different DPIs triggers a seamless rescale -- everything stays sharp.
Consistent Look
All window chrome -- the tab bar, buttons, focus borders, and animations -- is rendered through the same GPU pipeline as the terminal itself. This gives ori-term a consistent, polished look on every platform.
